Be A Decision Making Machine
Posted on March 10, 2010 · Leave a CommentHow well do you make decisions? In part, the answer to that question lies in another question: What kind of decisions are we talking about? No matter what the decision, to some extent, most are made based on what we’ve learned from others. Your last car purchasing decision was likely swayed by things you read or heard about the car under consideration. Your apartment decision probably had at least a little to do with something someone said about it that appealed to you.
Making good decisions depends on being a good listener and then filtering the information appropriately. It takes practice! Are you a Human Decision Making Machine?
Academy Awards Fashion Fails
Posted on March 8, 2010 · Leave a CommentIs it wrong that I have more fun looking at the AWFUL dresses celebs are wearing on the red carpet than I do the stunning dresses that make the mouth drop open?
I’m purely entertained by the dreadful, monstrous, totally ugly dresses that find their way to awards ceremonies every year. I enjoy it so much, in fact, I go out of my way the next day to check out the really terribly ones online. This Oscar photo montage captures the essence of the best of the worst!
How about you? Do you enjoy the train wrecks as much as I do?

Fun With Used Plastic

The thing about plastic is that it’s here to stay. The plastic soda bottle or the endless pile of milk jugs we’ve used will outlast the house we live in! And those plastic grocery bags! Oh boy! They are everywhere and have no future other than an eternity in a landfill! Or do they?
People are getting pretty creative in the effort to recycle and re-use these days. And it’s a good thing. For us to cut back on our purchase of plastics is a great start and to find ways to re-purpose those purchases is the next best thing to not buying them in the first place.
This article, Fun With Plastic gives some great ideas for using the stuff we’ve been accustomed to throwing away. How about that lamp? Very creative and cool looking, eh! You can make one, too! Check it out!
